DVD-Audio

DVD-Audio (commonly abbreviated as DVD-A) is a digital format for delivering high-fidelity audio content on a DVD. DVD-Audio is not intended to be a video delivery format and is not the same as video DVDs containing concert films or music videos. The first discs entered the marketplace in 2000. DVD-Audio was in a format war with Super Audio CD (SACD), another format for delivering high-fidelity audio content.

Only 2 Queen albums (A Night At the Opera and The Game) have been released in this format and they both include 5.1 surround audio instead of the usual and original 2.0 stereo. Regarding The Game album on DVD-AUDIO it has to been remarked that the track Coming Soon has a different mix available only in this format.
